Travel & Communications
Cyprus has two international airports, Larnaca to the North and Paphos to
the South of the island. Both are approximately 4hrs 30 mins flying time
from the UK. There are currently over 40 airlines seving the island with
some 260 flights per week and the frequency and costs is continuously improving.
The modern motorways linking the larger towns are excellent and petrol costs
roughly half the UK equivalent price. Public transport is also cheap and
efficient.
Postal services, telephone, Internet and satellite TV are on a par with
the UK and Cytnet (Cyprus Mobile Telecomes Network) offers one of the lowest
tariffs in Europe.
Around 70% of the terrestrial Radio and TV programs are in English, including
news broadcasts. Cyprus is also unique in that it shows original version
movies with English soundtrack and Greek subtitles. Satellite TV is also
available and includes CNN, BBC, World Service, MTV and the SKY Channels.
The electrical system is also 220 volts with English style three pin plugs.

to live in Cyprus and connect with the rest of the world either to contact
family, friends or business.

competition to Cytanet. They also Digital TV with the phone and broadband
package.
3) The third is using Satellite. There is a couple options here either using
a large dish or using a smaller one. Using a small dish there is 3 main
