Cyprus is still accessible to tourists and overseas investors during winter, an expert has stated.
Travel writer Richard Green said the notion that airlines did not service the Mediterranean island during the winter months was not true, as many carriers offered passage there.
Writing in the Sunday Times, he was responding to concerns from a holiday home owner who said he had heard the island was out of reach at this time of the year.
However, he recommended that if people did want to fly to Cyprus in winter, they should book with charter carriers, as scheduled flights were more likely to be expensive.
Mr Green said: " Having your own property out there does mean that you aren''t tied to specific dates, so it is definitely worth looking at last minute charter deals if money is a factor."
Earlier this week, low-cost airline Jet2.com announced that it would be offering passengers transport between Leeds Bradford International Airport and Paphos.
